Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to the files you process on bgremover.ai: they are processed on a GPU.
What This Page Is
This is the privacy policy for bgremover.ai, operated by InverseAI, describing the site as it operates on 1 November 2026. It states what happens to the files you process, what else the site collects, and how long anything is kept.
Your Video and Photo Files
To remove a background, the tool uploads your file to our servers, where a background-removal model runs on a GPU. Here is the whole path.
bgremover.ai
- You choose a file
- Uploaded over HTTPS
- Stored in our cloud storage
- Processed on our GPU servers
- The result comes back to your browser; no copies are stored on our side
Photos are uploaded as they are. Videos are first resized in your browser to at most 1280 pixels on the long side and uploaded in short segments of about four seconds, so processing can start before the upload finishes.
The server returns a black-and-white mask that marks which pixels are the subject. Your browser combines that mask with your file and the background you pick, and the finished image or video is created in your browser and saved by its own download mechanism. We do not receive the finished export.
The uploaded file, its segments and the masks are not stored. We use them only to produce your result.

Server access logs. Serving a page or an API request means a server receives a request carrying an IP address, a timestamp, the URL and a user-agent string. This comes from the hosting layer.
Analytics. None is in use. This site runs no analytics product, first-party or third-party. If that changes, the provider will be named here before it ships.
We do not sell data, run no advertising trackers, and operate no session-recording or heatmap tools. Trying the tool needs no account, so we hold no name, email address or sign-in record for anyone using it.
Who Processes Your Data
Your files are stored and processed on infrastructure we rent: cloud servers and object storage from DigitalOcean, and GPU servers that run the background-removal model. The website itself is served by Netlify, and its typefaces by Google Fonts.
Local Storage in Your Browser
The tool writes nothing to local storage, session storage or cookies. Your background choice lives in the page's memory for as long as the tab is open. The browser's HTTP cache may keep the page's own files between visits; clear it in your browser settings like any site data.
Changes to This Policy
If the site changes in a way that affects this description, this page and its review date are updated.
