What the Service Is

bgremover.ai is a website, operated by InverseAI, that removes and replaces backgrounds in video and images. Your file is uploaded to our servers and processed by an AI model on GPU servers. It is free to use and requires no account, either to run it or to download your result. By using the site you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, do not use it.

We do not store your uploaded file or the masks made from it. The privacy policy describes what is collected and for how long.

Acceptable Use

You may use bgremover.ai for personal or commercial work, at any volume, on any footage you have the right to edit. That permission has limits.

Do not use the site to process material you have no right to process, including footage of other people captured or obtained without their consent where consent is required. Do not use it to create content that is unlawful where you are, that sexualises minors, that harasses or defames a person, or that is designed to deceive by misrepresenting a real person's location, actions or identity. Do not attempt to attack, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure, and do not redistribute or resell the site's code or model files as your own product.

You are responsible for what you make. Since we never see your files, we have no ability to review, moderate or intervene in your output, which makes this your obligation rather than a policy we enforce.

Your Output Is Yours

Any file you produce with this tool is your own. We claim no ownership, no licence and no rights of any kind in your input footage or your exported result. Uploaded files are used only to produce your result and are not stored.

You are responsible for holding the rights to your source footage and to any replacement background you composite into it. Backgrounds we supply in the tool may be used in your exported work, commercially included. Every one of them — the studio tones, the gradients, the bokeh scenes and the blur — is generated by us in code rather than licensed from a stock library, so no third-party licence attaches to them and nothing restricts their commercial use once composited into your result. We ask only that they not be redistributed as a standalone background pack.

No Warranty on Results

The service is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied. In particular we do not warrant that the tool will produce a usable cutout on any given clip, that it will run on any given device or browser, or that it will be available at any given time.

• No warranty of a resultSegmentation quality varies with your footage. Fine hair, motion blur, thin objects, multiple people and low subject-to-background contrast all degrade it.
• No uptime guaranteeThe site may be unavailable, and features may change or be withdrawn without notice.
• Use at your own riskTest your own footage before you commit a deadline or paid work to it.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, InverseAI is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of bgremover.ai, including lost work, lost time, lost revenue or a missed deadline. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid to use it, which is nothing.

This does not limit any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

The Service Is Free and May Change

bgremover.ai is free to use, with no account and no usage cap. That, the features offered and these terms may all change; we may add, remove or discontinue any of them. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.

If the service were ever discontinued, nothing of yours would be lost with it, because your finished exports are saved on your own device and uploads are not stored.
